The MOC256M is an AC input phototransistor optocoupler. The device consists of two anti-parallel connected IR LEDs coupled to a silicon NPN phototransistor detector. It is suitable for applications requiring detection or monitoring of AC signals. The device uses standard SOIC-8 construction.

The FOD050L and FOD053L optocouplers consist of an AlGaAs LED optically coupled to a high-speed photodetector transistor. These devices are designed to operate from a 3.3-V supply voltage. A separate connection for photodiode biasing reduces the base-collector capacitance of the input transistor and is orders of magnitude faster than conventional phototransistors. Internal interference shielding provides excellent common-mode rejection of CMH = 50 kV/µs (typ) and CML = 35 kV/µs (typ).
