The MC1455 monolithic timer circuit is a very stable controller capable of generating accurate time delays or oscillations. Additional terminals are available for trigger or reset if required. In time-delay mode, the timing is precisely controlled by an external resistor and capacitor. For stable operation as an oscillator, both the idle frequency and duty cycle are accurately controlled with two external resistors and a capacitor. The circuit can be toggled and reset on falling waveforms and the output structure can source/sink up to 200 mA or drive a TTL circuit.
